Garden Cottage & Bunkie @ Horner Park

Garden Cottage is a beautiful space in Modern Farmhouse design. The navy kitchen has a farmhouse sink, quartz countertops, coffee & cocktail bar. Lovely bathroom with European tile & vintage wall sink. Laundry, Westin Heavenly king bed & 43” TV. Fenced backyard with BBQ, hammock & dining tables set admis a large flower and vegetable garden. The Bunkie is the former garden shed and sits right beside the Garden Cottage. Combine this rental with "Family Cottage @ Horner Park" for larger groups. This self-contained studio Garden Cottage was built in 2020 and is as described in the general description section. The standalone Bunkie is the former garden shed and sits right beside the Garden Cottage. It was reimagined in 2024 and now features a brand new queen bed, twin bed reading nook, clothes storage, mini fridge, and Roku TV. Both buildings opens to a large yard with flowers and owner's vegetable garden which guests are welcome to "help themselves" to seasonal produce. There is a sitting area to enjoy drinks, BBQ and dining tables for al fresco meals. This space and yard sits on the property of "Family Cottage @ Horner Park" but is completely separate and fenced off. Properties can be rented together for larger groups. Guests have access to the Garden Cottage & Bunkie property including a private fenced back yard where the owners have a fenced vegetable and flower garden but will not disturb guests. Guests are welcome to help themselves to seasonal produce. There is enough room for two cars parked one behind the other on the left hand side of the driveway. Self check-in but host and co-hosts live close by and available to assist guests either in the AirBnB app, in person, or via text/phone. We are likely to say hello if we see you outside but ensure privacy during your stay. Guests are always welcome to ask us questions about all things to see and do in Victoria and on Vancouver Island. The house is located in a wonderful, safe neighbourhood across the street from a large, active park with a children's playground, multisport court, softball, Fitcore Extreme obstacle course, and tons of green space with benches and picnic tables. Hike up Mount Tolmie at the end of the street or walk through Finnerty Gardens at UVIC, both are only a 5 minute walk away from the house. All shops and services are within walking distance or a 2 minute drive away to Shelbourne Plaza. The house is across the street from the bus stop to downtown so even without a car you can get around anywhere. By car, you are approximately a 15 minute drive to downtown, 5 minutes to one of the best beaches in Victoria, and a five minute walk to the University of Victoria. There is parking for 2 cars at the house if one parks behind the other and protected spaces for bike storage. There is a Roku smart television where guests can login to their personal Netflix, Apple TV, Crave, CBC, Disney+, and more accounts, including Air Play. There is no cable television.
