What began in 2014 as a simple family camping trip and a "leap of faith" to share our home has evolved into an unexpected global odyssey. A decade later, our "side hustle" has blossomed into a curated collection of three distinct properties located across from Horner Park, at the foot of Mount Tolmie—each a testament to our passion for design, landscape, and hospitality.
Today, Welch Homes and Hospitality is built on a unique rhythm of the "Six-Month Split." During the Spring and Summer, we are dedicated to the craft of hosting in Victoria. With a hands-on approach, we love obsessing over the details that define a five-star stay. Our properties are living galleries where high-season energy meets home-grown comfort. Find comfortable outdoor spaces, curated decor, aromatic gardens, and fresh farm eggs from our backyard chickens. We pour this creative energy into every renovation and garden path to ensure our guests experience a true West Coast sanctuary.
To keep our perspective fresh, we spend the other six months wandering the globe. This venture has unlocked more than just early retirement; it has given us a passport to global connection and research. Whether we are trekking remote canyons, or exploring world capitals, our travels inspire the soulful details, international design trends, and five-star hospitality that we bring back to you. For over 10 years, Welch Homes and Hospitality has been a family-run business dedicated to providing exceptional short-term rental experiences in Victoria, BC. As super hosts, educated in hospitality and tourism management, and work experience that includes Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and Destination Greater Victoria and Tourism Victoria, we have a strong passion for hospitality and earn consistent five-star ratings. We ensure that every guest feels at home and valued during their stay and have everything they need for a comfortable stay. As we do all the work ourselves we can honour this commitment.
