Family Oasis @ Horner Park

Welcome to our lovingly renovated 1947 family home that we make available during our travels. This fully stocked space has lots of entertaining space, a professionally landscaped backyard haven with natural swim pond, dock, waterfalls, hot tub, outdoor shower, BBQ, pizza oven, ping pong, and more. Perfect for families touring Victoria or visiting friends and family nearby. Near Mt. Tolmie, UVIC/Camosun, 5 min drive to Cadboro Bay beach, bus routes, lots of parking. A beautiful family home designed for enjoying life for all ages. Large dining room with French doors that lead to a large deck with hot tub, & BBQ. Two steps to the swim pond, stepping stones to the dock....swim, soak, relax and enjoy Victoria. Upstairs features the living room; dining room with seating for 8-10, chef stocked kitchen, full bathroom with tub, large master bedroom with Westin Heavenly king bed, large closets (no ensuite). The deck has a dining table with seating for 10, natural gas Weber BBQ, conversation area with umbrellas for shade. The covered dock features a large sectional, fire table and sun shades. Downstairs has additional bedrooms, a wet bar style kitchen, TV room with queen sofa bed, dedicated work space with monitor, sitting room with queen sofa bed, laundry room, and bathroom with shower (no tub). Easily sleeps 8-12 people. Parking for 3 cars in the driveway. Street parking not allowed to reduce impact on the neighbourhood. Guests enjoy the entire house, inside and out with the exception of some locked closets that hold our belongings. Self check-in but host and co-hosts will be close by and available to assist guests either in the AirBnB app, in person, or via text/phone. We are likely to say hello if we see you outside but ensure privacy during your stay. Guests are always welcome to ask us questions about all things to see and do in Victoria and on Vancouver Island. The Mt. Tolmie neighbourhood is centrally located. Downtown (15 min drive), bus routes, UVIC/Camosun College, beach (5 min drive), shops & restaurants within walking distance. Located directly across from Horner Park with playground, basketball courts & green space. Right across the street you can hike Mt. Tolmie for gorgeous 360 degree views of Victoria, Vancouver Island, Olympic Mountains, Gulf Islands & San Juan Islands. There is a bus stop one minute from the front door for route UVIC 14. We have enough space to park up to 6 cars and can recommend car or bike rental companies. We can take requests so please ask if you need something before assuming it will be there. For example, if your party plans to cook a lot like we do, we can leave condiments so you don't need to buy bottles of Dijon, fish sauce or tomato paste - tell us otherwise we will clean out the fridge entirely. Let us know what kind of guest you are in advance so we can accommodate you, whether it be for air mattresses for the lake or toys for kids. No large parties or events out of respect for the neighbours and to reduce short term rental impact on the neighbourhood.
