The Mt. Tolmie neighbourhood is in Saanich, BC, and is a primarily residential area known for its namesake park that offers some of the best panoramic views in Greater Victoria. It's centrally located in Saanich East, close to both the University of Victoria (UVic) and Camosun College. Our three available adjacent properties are nestled in this neighborhood with several local shops, restaurants and services within easy walking distance or a short-drive away so you can stock up on the essentials.

Nearby Walks
The University of Victoria offers Finnerty Gardens, a 2.7 hectare botanical garden, open year-round, with paths, ponds and benches. Free of charge and dogs welcome. Remember to keep the gates closed so the deer do not enter and eat the garden. Another option is the Alumni Chip Trail, which gives you a solid 5km round trip walk from the front door of your vacation rental. Additionally, the University of Victoria offers this jogging map of additional routes in the surrounding areas.
Mount Tolmie Park is a 120-meter (398 feet) high hill and park across the street from your vacation rental. Named after Dr. William Fraser Tolmie. It features 1,500 metres of hiking trails and offers panoramic views of Victoria, the Saanich Peninsula, Mount Douglas, the San Juan Islands, Race Rocks Lighthouse, the Olympic Mountains, and Mount Baker in the Cascade Range of Washington State. The summit is a popular urban lookout with natural features like Garry oak meadows Arbutus trees and rocky slopes, as well as historical elements like a World War II-era concrete structure, which was a defense system or spotting station
